Weddings:
The Church property is available for weddings. Weddings on the Church property are conducted by the Minister in Placement at the Church. A brochure with booking details can be sent to you on request.
The grounds at Marion Uniting Church are ideal for wedding photos, and anyone is welcome to come and make use of them.
Baptisms:
‘The Uniting Church will baptise those who confess the Christian faith, and children who are presented for baptism and for whose instruction and nourishment in the faith the Church takes responsibility.’ (Basis of Union, 7)
If you would like to be baptised, or would like your child to be baptised, please contact the Minister who will arrange to meet and talk with you about the service.
We also offer a service of Thanksgiving for the life of a child, which may suit your current desires better than a service of Baptism. Again, the Minister is willing to discuss this with you.
Funerals:
A well-planned funeral can help us honour and give thanks for the life of the person who has died as we affirm the Christian understanding that, even after we die, we continue in God’s love. If you are in the position of needing to organise a funeral and would like it to be at Marion please contact our minister.
